I was advised only when the doctor entered the room that the procedure I came in for (removal of an IUD, 7 years post-insertion) was actually not necessary for another year, even though the information I was given said to return by a certain date. She offered to let me come back in a year. Wish that option had been stated before I came into the office (45-minute drive) and waited for an hour to see her. I was booked as a new patient, even though I had seen her twice since 2014, because apparently the medical records were wiped after Emory moved to the new electronic system. I decided to have the IUD removed anyway, after which she proposed some medications for me. Both she and the nurse confirmed my pharmacy of choice. It's been 3 days since my appointment, and the medication has not been called into the pharmacy yet. I was not able to send a message to the doctor in MyChart, so I called the department phone number yesterday to get the office a message to please send in my script to my pharmacy and was told that the operator would call the office to make the request.

Dr. Dolan always listens to what I have to say and need and explains my options very well. She is kind and helpful with whatever the problem might be.

Dr Dolan has always been an amazing physician and even today she provided me with great treatment and advice.

Lack of disclosure that Dr. Dolan would not be doing annual visits going further .,I learned this when I was making an appointment with her for next year . I think that should have mentioned this during the exam

I complained about forgetting about switching the estradiol patch. She offered pill and said I was a low risk patient. Reading further, it says it presents a higher risk for cardiovascular disease. I have this on both sides of my family and my brother died from a heart attack. This doesn't seem like a good option.
