The PA was not explaining the condition to me, so I did not answer that question. However, I thought her approach to testing and referral for follow up with the gastroenterologist was well organized, and comprehensive.

She also made it possible to explore some related thoughts which led her to order a stool study for me. This interaction was exactly how I wish all discussions went with my medical-care providers.

RASHAWN was excellent, friendly and helpful and personable. She did not minimize the fact that both my grandparents on both sides died of colon cancer at a young age or minimize that fact that I had a polyp at 40 (which my gastro at the time indicated meant that I had a genetic predisposition to colon cancer) . She was helpful not dismissive.
