About
A board-certified nuclear medicine physician, Saima Muzahir, MD, FCPS, FRCPE, has clinical expertise in thyroid cancer, prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumor management. Dr. Muzahir practices primarily at Emory University Hospital and Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown. She is an associate professor and enterprise theranostics lead in the Division of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging within the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. Prior to joining Emory, she served as division chief of nuclear medicine at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Dr. Muzahir received her MBBS from Nishtar Medical College in Pakistan. She completed nuclear medicine residencies at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Center in Lahore, Pakistan, and at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. She also trained in PET-CT imaging at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin.
