A board-certified surgeon, Dr. Concors specializes in gastrointestinal surgical oncology. His clinical practice centers on the surgical management of neuroendocrine tumors, hepatobiliary and peritoneal surface malignancies, including cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). He leads Emory’s Neuroendocrine Tumor Multidisciplinary Clinic and plays a central role in advancing multidisciplinary care for gastrointestinal cancers.
Dr. Concors is an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the Emory University School of Medicine. He serves as associate program director of the Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship and the General Surgery Residency. He is also director of the Surgical Oncology Research Fellowship.
His research includes studies aimed at improving outcomes and quality of life for patients undergoing complex oncologic surgery. He has served as lead investigator for clinical trials and is committed to improving clinical outcomes in neuroendocrine tumors and peritoneal surface malignancies. His research interests include clinical trials, health services and quality improvement.
Dr. Concors has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and consensus guidelines in surgical oncology. He is an active reviewer for several high-impact journals, including Annals of Surgical Oncology, Annals of Surgery and The Oncologist.
