Dr Shah is an incredible doctor....so knowledgeable on so many branches of medicine, willing to help us understand different and complex issues and treatment plans, patient with my questions! For all intents and purposes, she is my quarterback as I battle pancreatic cancer, type 1 diabetes, high blood pressure and a multitude of other issues that continue to pop up! She helps keep me at the top of my game which is quite a challenge! Always monitoring the effects of the cross disciplinary medications and treatments. She is a real beckon in her field, as evidenced by my wellness!

See my previous comment regarding individualized care in which my concerns are listen med to and addressed specific to my experience and/or symptoms vs a generic response and focus only on age, race and genetic predisposition. I feel seen, heard and thoughtfully evaluated with all relevant factors taken into account.
This was my first time seeing Dr Shah and she was excellent. Listened to my concerns, was kind, took time to explain what she thought I was experiencing and was thorough.

Dr. Shah is exceptional at listening to her patients and addressing their concerns. I was particularly impressed at how she had read my communications through MyChart and was well prepared for my appointment. I have not found that to be the case with all doctors in the Emory system.

Because of that and a subsequent diagnosis of ovarian cancer, I feel she helped save my life.

Dr. Shah has always been and still is a detailed and thorough practitioner. Her level of care is impeccable, personable and informative. She does not make you feel as if her treatment of you is generic treatment of the masses based on your age, gender, race, family hx, etc. Instead she takes these various factors into account but also discusses a wholistic approach and suggests proactive measures to assist vs a generic summation and treatment plan that locks you into a continuous bandage approach for your issues.
