Shin Lin, MD, PhD, MHS, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. He is an expert in heart failure and has an interest in taking care of patients who need or have had a heart transplant or a durable heart pump. Previously, he undertook research in genomics and epigenomics of the heart. More recently, he pioneered the heart after liver transplant with liver domino (HALT-D) procedure for highly allosensitized patients on the heart transplant waitlist.
Dr. Lin is also involved in research regarding the use of artificial intelligence in transplant clinical care. He received his graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and has undergone medical training at the Mayo Clinic, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, and UCLA. Prior to joining Emory, Dr. Lin worked at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
