Dr. Leal has been my oncologist for 4 years and I know she is primarily a reason I continue to be stable. I have a rare neurological condition DIPNECH. I have regular labs and injections, scans in my lungs and while everything is inoperable now, I am stable. She is excellent, gifted, compassionate and exceeds at her using her gifts in medicine. My Emory doctors are wonderful.

Dr. Leal has been, by far, the most empathetic and caring doctor that I've dealt with. She takes the time to listen and have discussions to properly inform me of my options and answer ALL questions that I have. She has never once made me feel rushed or just a medical record number. She always treats me as a person and takes into consideration my opinions and life when working through treatment options or plans. Dr. Leal is a valuable asset not only to Emory but to any cancer patients under her care. She is the prime example of what "care" should be by a Doctor and health system.
