Dr. Styblo explained treatment, showed me films and described medical concerns and care, she was helpful and thorough. She took as much time with me as was needed and followed up by having her scheduling nurse work with me to schedule surgery that accommodated my schedule.

Very patient and very informative

This visit could have been a telehealth visit or even a simply a letter as it was essentially just the delivery of the news that my biopsy was clear and no further steps were needed other than the continuation of regular mammograms. It was not a good use of my or the hospital's time or resources.

Dr. Styblo is a very learned doctor & excellent surgeon who has earned her place in her field. I very much respect that & it's why I chose her out of the 5 recommendations I received from family, friends and associates. I was fully aware her 'bedside manner' wasn't the best & I was fine with that. I didn't need my hand held; I just wanted the facts and her opinion on the best treatment. The problem arose when I went in with my mind already made up that I wanted a bilateral mastectomy, so as not to have to undergo radiation and chemo, and Dr. Styblo had already decided I needed an oncoplastic reduction. Once we got past this initial difference of opinion, we had a very productive discussion about the pros & cons of each surgery as well as radiation or chemo treatments. I do trust her opinion on treatment.

Dr. Styblo clearly reviewed and communikcated testing and results, showed compassion and concern, included me in treatment decisions, listened to and answered all of my questions and concerns.

Dr S was very helpful, kind, considerate, knowledgeable, caring and concern with what I had to say. I really glad to have met her and glad she will be the one performing my surgery.

Dr. Styblo was very kind, personable, and explained things well, however while addressing me, she usually looked at my husband instead. This made us both a little uncomfortable. I wanted to stand up and tell her I was right here in front of her and she could look at me.

Dr. Styblo is an excellent clinician. I am lucky to have found her. She has an excellent bedside manner, and is very caring, personable, and also very down to earth. She explained everything to me before and after the surgery and during the post-op visit. She really put my mind at rest right before surgery and she did such an excellent job of taking care of me and the procedure went extremely well.

Dr Styblo very patiently explained what the issue was with diagrams, the course of treatment, how long the surgery would take etc very patiently. She took time to explain and answer my children who had questions for her.

Dr. Styblo carefully explained my mammograms and explained that my cancer was caught very early. She discussed why she wanted additional tests before I have surgery. She explained why I don't need to have genetic testing unless I want it. She discussed what my surgery would involve. And she explained the risks and benefits of hormone suppression medications. I felt much more comfortable after meeting and talking with her. My diagnosis had come as a shock. She helped me to see it as something we would treat and then I'd get on with my life. I appreciated her candor and her humor.
