Dr. Tangpricha is a board certified endocrinologist at Emory Clinic and Emory Midtown and Program Director of the Emory Endocrinology Fellowship Program. His interests include vitamin D, osteoporosis, endocrine disorders in cystic fibrosis and transgender medicine.
Dr. Tangpricha is a graduate of Tufts Medical School and completed his medical residency, fellowship in endocrinology and Ph.D. in molecular medicine on the topic of vitamin D at Boston University. He was recruited to Emory in 2004. He provides clinical care for patients with vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis, cystic fibrosis and gender dysphoria/transgender.
Dr. Tangpricha is a physician scientist and is funded by the NIH and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to study vitamin D in a number of health conditions. He also has received funding in collaboration with faculty members in the Emory School of Public Health to investigate health conditions in the transgender population.
He has published over 200 peer reviewed research articles, reviews and book chapters. He serves on several national and international committees related to his clinical and research work.
