Elbow & Wrist Arthroscopy

Traumatic and degenerative pain of the wrist and elbow often can be addressed by arthroscopic surgery. The hand surgeons at the Emory Orthopaedics & Spine Center are among the few in the region who are skilled in this minimally invasive "keyhole" surgery.

Fracture Surgery

Hand and upper extremity fractures that are displaced or unstable are more likely to need surgery to realign and stabilize the fragments, or sometimes to remove bone fragments.

Microsurgical Repair for Fingertip Injuries

Minimally Invasive Dupuytren’s Contracture Surgery

Although traditionally addressed through extensive surgical procedures, Emory's hand surgeons offer minimally invasive outpatient surgical options for Dupuytren's contracture release that provide shorter recovery time.

Nerve Decompression Surgery

When symptoms of a pinched or damaged nerve are severe or do not improve, surgery may be needed to make more room for the nerve.

Tendon Repair Surgery

Tendon repair surgery is an outpatient procedure used to repair a ruptured or severed tendon. The hand surgeon makes an incision in the hand or wrist and locates the ends of the tendon.

Trigger Finger Release Surgery

Trigger finger release surgery is used to release the constriction on the tendon in a patient’s hand that has been diagnosed with trigger finger. This is a minimally invasive surgery where the hand surgeon makes a small incision in the palm of the hand on the affected finger.
