HB 186 / O.C.G.A. 31-6-70(h) Compliance

The surveys below are posted in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 31-6-70(h), which was created by the Georgia General Assembly through HB 186 during the 2019-2020 Regular Session. These surveys are subject to various definitions, instructions, formulas, and other reporting requirements of the Georgia Department of Community Health, the state agency to which the surveys are submitted. Therefore, the information reported in these surveys may not be directly comparable to information from other public or private reports or databases or other documents.

HB 321 / O.C.G.A. 31-7-22 Compliance

The information and documents below are posted in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 31-7-22, which was created by the Georgia General Assembly through HB 321 during the 2019-2020 Regular Session. These information and documents are based on a reasonable and good faith interpretation of O.C.G.A. § 31-7-22. Because these information and documents are specific to O.C.G.A. § 31-7-22, they may not be directly comparable to information from other public or private reports or databases or other documents.

Based on a reasonable interpretation, there are nine relevant hospitals within the Emory Healthcare system for purposes of disclosures under O.C.G.A. § 31-7-22: Emory University Hospital (this includes, without limitation, Emory University Hospital at Wesley Woods), Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital, Emory University Hospital Smyrna, Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Hillandale Hospital, and Emory Long Term Acute Care.

Based on a reasonable interpretation, there are nine relevant hospitals within the Emory Healthcare system for purposes of disclosures under O.C.G.A. § 31-7-22: Emory University Hospital (this includes, without limitation, Emory University Hospital at Wesley Woods), Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital, Emory University Hospital Smyrna, Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Hillandale Hospital, and Emory Long Term Acute Care.

Please note that DeKalb Regional Health System, which includes without limitation the hospitals formerly known as DeKalb Medical Center, DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale, and Decatur Hospital, was not a part of the Emory Healthcare system prior to September 1, 2018. Therefore, Emory Healthcare did not develop, generate, or oversee the data or documents for those hospitals for time periods prior to September 1, 2018. Data or documents of DeKalb Regional Health System for periods prior to September 1, 2018 are not, and should not be considered, data or documents of Emory Healthcare. DeKalb Medical Center is now known as Emory Decatur Hospital, DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale is now known as Emory Hillandale Hospital, and Decatur Hospital is now known as Emory Long Term Acute Care.
