Welcome to Emory Healthcare

On behalf of our staff, leaders and physicians - a combined team of more than 16,500 - welcome to Emory Healthcare. You have joined a cohesive group dedicated to upholding our promise to our patients of quality: defined by impeccable clinical outcomes, patient safety and patient service. We know that, in whatever capacity you serve, you will contribute to our ultimate goal of quality.

Our exceptional care and concern for our patients have been a tradition in metro Atlanta for more than 100 years. We have a world-renowned reputation for superlative patient care, pioneering clinical care, and breakthrough technology and facilities.

However, it is not buildings or technology alone that fulfills our patient promise of a quality experience. It is our commitment to excellent clinical care and customer service that sets us apart from other health care providers. It's our exceptional medicine, and above all, stellar people, that make this all possible. We know you will do your part to uphold our heritage.

We have equipped you with a variety of resources to assist you on your journey here at Emory Healthcare. This New Employee Orientation site provides information on your orientation, our organizational goals, important policies and procedures, and the benefits you receive as an employee. Use it in conjunction with the Resource Guide you received and feel free to contact any of our administrative team if you have questions.

Again, let us say how pleased we are to have you join Emory Healthcare.

New Employee Orientation

We understand starting a new job can be overwhelming. That’s why all new employees can expect a minimum of two days of orientation to better understand our goals and culture. The first day of orientation, known as New Employee System Orientation, will focus on the entire Emory Healthcare system. Day two will cover orientation specific to your operating unit.

  • Arriving. New Employee System Orientation begins promptly at 8 a.m. and ends at approximately 4:30 p.m. Plan enough time for parking and to find your way to the orientation location before the session starts. Lunch will be provided on day one.
  • Dressing appropriately. Professional business attire is required during orientation. Your offer letter has helpful information on what is considered proper dress, but we will discuss our dress code policy during day one if, you have any questions.
  • Parking. Be aware that your orientation location may be different than your assigned work location. If orientation is located at your assigned work location, please park in your designated lot. If your primary work location is elsewhere, you may park in visitor parking; we will provide parking validation before the end of the session.

Need more information?
Call the Talent Acquisition team a 404-712-4938 if you have questions or are unable to attend orientation as scheduled.

If you are a new administrator, department director or manager, you must be familiar with our philosophy, operations, policies, procedures and practices. In addition to general orientation, leader orientation is routinely conducted. Your administrator or department director is responsible for ensuring you complete this orientation and will provide the details of the next session.
