Ambreen Khalid, MD

I completed my undergraduate education at University of Illinois at Chicago graduating summa cum laude and with Honors college.
I completed my medical degree at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. I completed my Internship and Family Medicine Residency at Wellstar Douglas Medical Center, where I received a Behavioral Science Award and Andrew Stewart Memorial Residency Research Award.
My clinical interests include Preventive Medicine and Chronic Care management.
What I love most about practicing medicine is the opportunity to meet new people, to connect and build relationships with them, and to possibly make a difference in leading healthier lives.
I wish I could tell every patient that small changes can lead to big improvements over time.
Fun fact about me: I love flowers and I have a few bird feeders. I also enjoy maintaining my aquarium.
When I am not at work, I enjoy connecting with family, going out for walks, and making flower arrangements.
 Atlanta has been home for several years now. My husband is from Atlanta. We enjoy discovering new eateries together and everything the city has to offer.
