Ashley Wade, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant in the Breast Surgical Oncology Department at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. She serves in a hybrid role, providing first-assist support in the operating room while also caring for patients through breast cancer screening, risk assessment and prevention, and post-operative follow-up care.
Before joining Winship, Ashley worked for two years as a Physician Assistant in the field of Neurology in Chicago, Illinois.
Originally from Michigan, Ashley attended the University of Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience, with a minor in Spanish. Following graduation, she expanded her clinical experience by becoming a Certified Ophthalmic Technician and worked for two years at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center.
Ashley later moved to Chicago to pursue her Physician Assistant education at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and subsequently became a board-certified Physician Assistant.
