Carolina Adams, MD, joined the Emory Eye Center in 2021. Her clinical interests include general pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus, pediatric glaucoma and cataracts, retinopathy of prematurity, and global pediatric eye care. She currently sees patients at Emory Eye Center.
Dr. Adams received her medical degree from the Universidad Latina de Panama in 2011 followed by a two-year transitional internship at Hospital Santo Tomas and Hospital Nelson Collado in Panama. She completed an internal medicine internship at Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at the Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Adams served as chief resident during her senior year at Harkness Eye Institute. Her fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus was completed at Storm Eye Institute at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.
