Haider Mejbel, MD

A board-certified anatomic pathologist, Haider A. Mejbel, MD, is an expert in molecular genetic pathology and specializes in gastrointestinal pathology at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. Dr. Mejbel is an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Mejbel received his Medical Degree from Mustansiriyah University College of Medicine in Baghdad, Iraq. He completed postdoctoral training in molecular, genetics and translational pathology at Texas Children Hospital in Houston, Texas. He went on to do his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed a fellowship in molecular genetics pathology at University of Alabama at Birmingham.
