Jeremy Stephen Maylath, MD

Jeremy Maylath, M.D., is a board certified ophthalmologist at the Emory Eye Center.  

Dr. Maylath grew up in Harrisburg, PA and completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University, where he graduated with honors and completed a degree in Neuroscience. He earned his medical degree (M.D.) at Texas A&M University College of Medicine, where he participated in research on cataract surgery techniques, which sparked his initial interest in ophthalmology. Dr. Maylath completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX, where he served as chief resident in his final year. After completing residency Dr. Maylath joined the Cincinnati Eye Institute where he practiced comprehensive ophthalmology and treated a wide range of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and macular degeneration. He joined the Emory Eye Center in 2026 as a fellow in the Oculoplastic & Orbital Surgery divison.
