About

Jose M. Villalon-Gomez earned his MD and MPH at Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico (2001-2006). He completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine / Jamaica Hospital in Jamaica, NY (2006-2008), where he served as Chief Resident (2008-2009). Before joining the faculty at Emory, he served as Assistant Professor at Florida State University, Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Mercer University School of Medicine, and Augusta University-Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Villalon-Gomez serves as Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program.
