About

Laercio DaSilva, MD is a medical oncologist who specializes in caring for patients with lung cancer, thymic tumors and mesothelioma. His practice is based at Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown and Grady Memorial Hospital. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. DaSilva is actively engaged in research focusing on the development of early-phase clinical trials and immunotherapy for thoracic tumors.

Dr. DaSilva is an assistant professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine.

He earned his medical degree from the Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Santa Casa de São Paulo in Brazil. He completed his internal medicine residency at Irmandade Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Paulo in Brazil and MetroWest Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine in Framingham, Massachusetts. He subsequently completed his medical oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland where he served as chief fellow in his final year.
