Once again, Dr. Garvey, was phenomenal to deal with and help me understand each step of the processes she took care of and adjusted my expectations for what comes next.
Dr Garvey is fabulous. She is super knowledgeable and obviously very skilled at her job. I was impressed and felt completely safe and secure throughout the whole procedure.

I felt rushed and not heard. She kept questioning me about my symptoms as though they were not real. I had a DVT and I continue to struggle with pain and swelling but she made me feel like I may be wasting her time since ultrasound showed the clot had already cleared and my swelling and discoloration did not rise to her expected level of concern. She even asked me about my skin color turning blue and I had to tell her that given my skin tone that would be highly unlikely. While I believe she is likely a knowledgeable provider, she demonstrated poor customer service and care. I don't remember her introducing herself and at the end of the visit after making recommendations she just left. I was a little unclear if the visit was over. This appointment left me feeling like it was one of the worst patient experiences I have had.

My experience with this doctor was very disappointing and unlike any medical visit I have ever had.During my first appointment, the doctor did not appear to review my medical chart or my history of varicose vein problems and the treatment I had previously received. She only looked at that information after I specifically asked her to do so.The results of my venous reflux ultrasound were understated and not clearly explained. I was told that varicose veins were essentially related to age and were presented as something normal to have, without much discussion of the underlying findings or what they might mean in my particular case.No treatment options, follow-up plan, or practical recommendations were offered. The doctor repeatedly emphasized that I did not have blood clots and that this was a good thing. While I certainly understand that not having an urgent or dangerous condition is positive, I came to the appointment seeking evaluation and guidance for an existing vein problem - not only confirmation that I did not have an emergency.I left the appointment feeling that because I did not have a blood clot or another urgent condition, my concerns were not considered important enough to address. I expected to understand where my vein issues were coming from, especially since my symptoms have been worsening over time, to discuss possible treatment or management options, and to receive recommendations for what to do next.Instead, the interaction felt rushed and dismissive. It was one of the strangest medical visits I have experienced. I felt as though I were speaking with a stranger who wanted to end the conversation as quickly as possible, rather than a doctor who was interested in understanding my concerns and helping me manage them.
