About

Dr. Mahendra Mandawat MD, MRCP, FACC is an experienced cardiologist with more than 25 years of clinical, research, and teaching experience. He is triple‑trained in General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Cardiac Electrophysiology, bringing a comprehensive skill set to the diagnosis and treatment of complex heart conditions. 

Over the course of his career, Dr. Mandawat has built a wide-reaching clinical practice, guiding patient care through cutting-edge General Cardiology, interventional procedures and advanced electrophysiology techniques. He has contributed significantly to medical literature with peer‑reviewed publications in leading cardiovascular journals. He has mentored and trained scores of residents, fellows, and early-career physicians, playing a pivotal role in shaping future leaders in cardiovascular medicine. 

He completed his General Cardiology Training at University of Glasgow in United Kingdom and did his Interventional Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowships from SUNY Health Science Center in New York. After completing his training, he has practiced at Medical College of Georgia and Augusta VA Medical center and has now joined Emory University.  He is board certified in General Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
