Nurse Megan Sweet initially appeared frustrated by the questions I was asking, despite the fact that I had every right as a patient to seek clarification. In fact, the staff member who took my vitals specifically told me that Megan would be able to answer those questions.As the interaction continued, I respectfully asked her to change her tone and reminded her that I was a patient seeking information about my care. After a minute or so, she apologized. I accepted and thanked her for the apology.Megan had an NP trainee with her during the visit, and I believe her willingness to acknowledge her behavior and apologize in front of her trainee demonstrated professionalism and leadership. We all have difficult days, but that does not excuse speaking to others in a manner that could be perceived as disrespectful or dismissive-especially when interacting with patients. Her apology showed accountability, and I appreciated that.

Ms. Sweet is a great nurse practitioner who give her all to her and Dr Jeong's patients. I like the fact that she understands what I'm going through but at the same time knows that she needs other providers input.
