About

I completed my undergraduate studies at Florida A&M University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, Florida. I later completed my graduate studies at Georgia State University’s Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions, where I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a registered nurse for approximately 10 years, including caring for complex liver and kidney transplant patients at Emory University Hospital.
I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). My clinical background includes extensive nursing experience in transplant care as well as experience in urgent care, where I have evaluated and treated a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries and performed minor procedures.
My clinical interests include preventive care, chronic disease management, women’s health, acute care, and patient education. I am particularly interested in building long-term relationships with my patients and helping them take an active role in improving and maintaining their overall health.
My inspiration came from my years of experience as a registered nurse. I saw firsthand the impact that compassionate, knowledgeable, and accessible healthcare can have on patients and their families. I wanted to expand my role in patient care by being able to diagnose and treat conditions, provide education, and build lasting relationships with my patients.
What I enjoy most is having the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s health. Whether I am treating an acute concern, helping a patient manage a chronic condition, providing preventive care, or simply taking the time to listen, I want my patients to feel heard, respected, and cared for.
I would tell every patient that their health is a partnership. Never be afraid to ask questions, advocate for yourself, or tell your healthcare provider when something does not feel right. I believe patients have the best outcomes when they feel informed, respected, and actively involved in their care.
I have not conducted formal research for publication at this time.
I love to travel and experience new places and cultures. I am also a proud dog mom to Thor, who is definitely our big baby and a very spoiled member of the family!
When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, going for walks or runs, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time with my husband, bonus daughter, nieces, family, and friends. I also enjoy spending time with our dog, Thor.
I live in the south Atlanta area with my husband. I am also a proud bonus mom to a daughter, and we have our dog, Thor. I come from a close-knit family and enjoy spending time with my many nieces.
I am originally from Jacksonville, Florida, and attended Florida A&M University in Tallahassee for my undergraduate studies. I was drawn to Atlanta because of its rich culture, diversity, and opportunities. My husband was also an important part of what brought me to the area. Over the years, Atlanta has truly become home.
