Cardiologist Dr Neal K Bhatia, MD is phenomenal. He's brilliant, friendly, listens well, and explains everything at a level a non clinical person like me can understand. A few years ago when I was in the emergency department, he followed up with a procedure starting at the femoral artery. One chamber in the heart was no longer functioning. He and his team worked their magic, and the faulty chamber was put to sleep. I'm no longer getting light-headed and struggling to breathe. Dr. Bhatia is not only extremely competent, he's also super modest.

Dr. Bhatia was like talking to an old friend. He explained that there was no need for concern over the short SVTs detected by my device and recommended that I consider the renal artery denervation to help my blood pressure and said that he would speak with Dr. Devereti for me. He explained that the meds that I am on are old and unreliable. He recommended the denervation procedure because I have terrible side effects from the modern meds. He was very thorough and only interested in managing my health. I have full confidence in him.

Without Dr Bhatia, I wouldn't be alive. He was patient and understanding with me when I first came to Emory in April 2024. I had been recently widowed and I just want myself. I wanted to go home. Had Dr Bhatia not stepped in, I'd probably be dead by now. He is caring of his patients and takes the time to understand their anxieties. One of the best doctors Emory has.
