Nelson Sofoluke, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Emory University School of Medicine. He is a board-eligible neurosurgeon with advanced fellowship training in complex spine surgery, with particular expertise in minimally invasive and endoscopic spine techniques.

Dr. Sofoluke completed his neurosurgery residency at the Geisinger Neuroscience Institute, followed by a Complex Spine Fellowship at Emory University, where he trained in the surgical management of degenerative spine disease, spinal deformity, spinal tumors, trauma, and complex thoracic and cervical pathology. His clinical focus emphasizes motion-preserving and tissue-sparing approaches designed to reduce pain, speed recovery, and help patients return to daily life as safely and quickly as possible.

He earned his medical degree from the Geisinger School of Medicine and holds a master’s degree in biomedical sciences. His academic background and training support a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to patient care, integrating innovation with proven surgical principles.

Dr. Sofoluke is an active member of national and regional neurosurgical societies and is committed to patient-centered care, education, and collaboration with referring physicians.
