You are not alone. Whatever you’re going through, there are many others just like you. In fact, of the 3.5 million+ Americans deployed since 9/11, an estimated 1 in 3 return with either PTSD, traumatic brain injury (TBI), or other conditions brought on by things they saw and/or experienced during military service.
Emory Healthcare Veterans Program is here to help. We provide no-cost treatment to eligible post-9/11 veterans and service members struggling with:
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Anxiety
- Military Sexual Trauma (MST)
- Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
- Depression
Eligibility Requirements
Emory’s Veterans Program serves eligible post-9/11 veterans and service members who live anywhere in the United States, regardless of discharge status, deployment history, or length of service.
Program Details
We offer two different treatment programs - a two-week Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for those living anywhere in the United States and its territories, and a traditional Outpatient Program (OP) for those local to the Atlanta area. Each warrior is partnered with a dedicated case manager and receives a care plan tailored to his/her individual needs. Clinical outcomes in both programs demonstrate that these programs are highly effective and lead to large reductions in PTSD symptoms, including suicidal thoughts and actions.
For those participating in the IOP, travel, lodging, meals, and all treatment are provided at no cost to participants. This two-week program reduces symptoms, promotes health and well-being, and improves relationships and social functioning. Warriors will learn about fitness, yoga, sleep and wellness, work on communication and coping skills, and have a chance to participate in group outings and weekend activities.
