Emory Johns Creek Hospital College Program
The College Program at Emory Johns Creek Hospital is a 6-week program held each summer for college students. This year’s program will be held from June 5-July 21, 2023 and will include a one-week break during the week of July 4th. To apply, students must be age 18+, enrolled in a college, university, or higher education program, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students will be required to volunteer for a total of 40 hours of service, which will be scheduled in either two four-hour shifts per week, or one eight-hour shift per week. Students who are accepted into the program and complete the requirements will be eligible to return as a volunteer on school breaks and and/or the following summer.
College volunteers will not provide any type of clinical patient care. Although most of the volunteer work will involve running errands for staff, organizing supplies and completing clerical duties, each task is performed in a hospital setting and will provide a meaningful opportunity for students to learn and explore healthcare careers.
If you are interested in applying for the program, please fill out the following application which is due no later than Wednesday, March 1, 2023:
