Informed consent and shared decision-making are fundamental patient rights, and I'm concerned that framing this as a provider "effort" rather than a basic expectation may normalize situations where patients are not fully included in their own care decisions.Dr. Hoff exemplifies best practices in this area by always explaining options thoroughly, respecting our autonomy, and ensuring we understand and agree to any proposed treatments.
