My first impression of Dr. Lily was excellent. She is warm, approachable, and genuinely compassionate. During my consultation, she listened carefully to my concerns and paid close attention to every question I asked. She's really good. Emory saved me half a thyroid. The doctors in South Georgia just wanted to yank the whole thing out. Emory has served me very well. My thyroid function is normal. The half removed didn't have cancer.How would having to have surgery turn out better??? It wouldn't. Yall are the best.

I have had the best experience being Dr. Lily's patient. She is knowledgeable, caring and a real good human being. I am not afraid to have my surgery. She listen intently to my concerns and I believe she cares for me as a person not just a patient. I will see her in two weeks

Care providers were friendly and informative. Care providers explained each step of the process to me. They consistently asked if I was doing okay.

I was grateful for Dr. Lily overall. She explained that the practice at Emory is for cancer to be monitored by bloodwork the endocrinologist monitors. I had been seeing my thyroid surgeon for 6 months. And now 1 year check ups to watch a lymph node that was not able to be taken as it was too close to my jugular vein. She said the practice at Emory was not to see her 5 years post op. But that if I still wanted her to look she could see me in a year. Because cancer is cancer I did want that year check up.

She was a bit cold and nonchalant about the upcoming surgery. I didn't feel like she was concerned about my hesitations.

Dr. Lilly was courteous, pleasant, very direct about the diagnosis of my condition and my options for treatment.

I wasn't comfortable with the way the doctor explained my diagnosis. I walked away with uncertainty and feeling like she did not know what she was talking about nor did she offer me any options to remedy my medical issue. She was more for the aggressive surgery.
