ATLANTA – More than 100 people attended the 2025 Violence Prevention Symposium held at the Miller-Ward Alumni House on Emory University’s campus. The event included community leaders, researchers and health advocates who collaborate on violence prevention efforts, implement conflict resolution tactics and collect and track data on acts of violence in Georgia.
Once data are collected, organizations can use the information to generate solutions and assist in eliminating and decreasing violent acts throughout the state. Members of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta spearheaded the symposium this year, and collaborated with Satcher Health Leadership Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine, The King Center, Emory University and Emory Healthcare to achieve its mission.
