Emory Healthcare offers organ donor registration through MyChart
Emory Healthcare MyChart Patient Portal Page

With more than 100,000 people on the national transplant waiting list, Emory Healthcare continues to expand options for potential organ donors with a few digital clicks. It now leads all Georgia health care systems in MyChart organ donor registrations, with more than 2,000 to date.
By collaborating with Donate Life America, the organization working to increase organ donations, and Epic, a health care software company, Emory Healthcare offers this simple process for quick access to organ donor registration. Those who want to become donors can register through their Emory Healthcare MyChart Patient Portal while reviewing their health information.

“Having the ability to productively use technology to help with our mission to expand access to organ donation gets us one step closer to saving another life,” says Adam Bingaman, MD transplant surgeon with Emory Healthcare and director of kidney transplant at Emory Transplant Center. “While we are one of the top transplant programs in the country, we continuously work to educate our patients, their families and friends about how essential organ donations are in our communities. It is our commitment to provide exceptional care to those who need us most.”

To register to become an organ donor, an Emory Healthcare MyChart user can sign into their account, scroll to the bottom of the page, and under the header Explore More, look for the Donate Life section and click register. An automated system populates the user’s information. Potential donors can now register through MyChart.
