Brian Cabaniss, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Emory. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and received his M.D. from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Neurology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital / Washington University in St. Louis, where he served as an Administrative Chief Resident in his final year. This was followed by a two year fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, focused on Epilepsy. He is board-certified in Neurology and Epilepsy.

Dr. Cabaniss serves as the Medical Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and Medical Director of the Intracranial Monitoring Unit. He is active in all three missions of the academic medical center (clinical care, education and research) and has particular interests in medication-resistant epilepsy, medical devices, hospital operations and the business of healthcare.
