Deciding to terminate a pregnancy, no matter your reason, brings many different emotions. Some people find they aren’t quite ready for a baby. Others may have a complex medical condition that makes carrying a baby dangerous to their own well-being.
At Emory Healthcare, it doesn’t matter what your reasons are, what you believe or who you are. We are here to support you and to care for you however—whenever—you need us. After all, abortion care is health care.
Our abortion care services include surgical abortions or medication management. When desired, we can also place an IUD or contraceptive implant immediately after your abortions or surgically treat fibroids, cysts or other gynecologic conditions after your recovery is complete.
Before your procedure, your doctor will discuss what you can expect during and after the abortion, including when it’s safe to resume activities (including exercise or sex) and how to receive follow-up care in our office (in-person or by telemedicine).
