The Emory Healthcare Volunteer Services department's mission is to develop and maintain dedicated, caring, and competent volunteers who embrace the Emory Healthcare Mission to become the leading healthcare provider at the highest level of quality patient care and service. Our volunteers share their time, talents, and experience over the EMORY HEALTHCARE system.

Emory University Hospital Midtown volunteers support our efforts by providing care that inspires hope. Our opportunities range from administrative aid, helping create and design experiences, to hands-on clinical support caring for our visitors.

Emory University Hospital Midtown volunteers must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Complete and submit a volunteer application
  • Schedule and complete a volunteer interview
  • Complete and pass a criminal background check
  • Provide proof of up to date vaccinations, including:
  • Flu vaccine for the current season
  • COVID-19 vaccine complete series (either two shots of Pfizer or Moderna, or one of Johnson & Johnson)
  • Attend onsite new volunteer orientation and complete the online orientation component once accepted into the program.
  • Complete and pass a TB test, if applicable
