Pain Management

Board-certified anesthesiologists direct our pain management program. Using a team approach and proven techniques to relieve pain, they work to make you more comfortable and help you have a better quality of life.

Appointments require a referral from your primary care provider. Once we meet with you and review your records, we talk with you about a personalized pain management treatment program.

Pain Treatment Goals

We work to relieve your discomfort with a multi-treatment approach. Because strong painkillers can lead to dangerous side effects and may prove ineffective, we work to decrease any dependence on these medications. Instead, we use treatments including:

  • Exercise
  • IV-therapy/infusions
  • Nerve blocks

Following your personalized plan is key to achieving relief, and we encourage patients to actively participate in their recovery.

Your Pain Management Team

An anesthesiologist creates your treatment plan, administers nerve blocks and provides guidance throughout your care.

Nurses monitor your progress, encourage safe activity to prevent weakness and coordinate other specialists, including internists, neurologists, neurosurgeons and orthopaedic or general surgeons.

You can feel confident knowing a caring team is helping you every step of the way.
