The Emory University Hospital Dietetic Internship participates in both early decision and standard application rounds. While Emory holds priority partnerships with the University of Georgia and Drexel University for early decision, all interested applicants are encouraged to apply.
Positions are not guaranteed to be filled through the early decision round. Any available positions not filled through the early decision applicant process may be filled through the standard application process. Dates and deadlines for each round are provided below.Early Decision Round:

Application Fees:
- The fee for DICAS is $50 for the first application and $25 for each additional application
- There is an additional mandatory non-refundable $65 application fee paid to Emory University Hospital that must be postmarked by the application deadline. Only payments in the form of checks or money orders (made out to Emory University Hospital) are accepted. Payments should be mailed to:

DICAS:
DICAS is a centralized application service for dietetics. DICAS is a service of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
DICAS offers a convenient, web-based application service that allows applicants to apply to participating dietetics supervised practice programs and/or graduate dietetics programs by completing a single online application. DICAS can be accessed from here.
Components of Application:
- Personal statement of up to 1000 words. Items that should be addressed in the statement include:
- Why you want to enter the profession of dietetics
- Experiences that have helped to prepare you for an internship
- Short- and long-term goals for your career
- Strengths and areas where improvement is needed
- Reason for selecting the Emory program
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended should be sent to:

- Three References. You must include the name and contact information for each reference, including email addresses. This will trigger an email to the reference asking them to complete a reference form online. The same references need to be used for each application.

- Overview of work/volunteer experiences, honors/awards, and certifications.
