EUHM PGY-1 Pharmacy Residents

Jacquelyn Emby

Dr. Jacquelyn Emby grew up in Rhode Island, but moved to Pittsburgh, PA to earn her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Foundations and Doctor of Pharmacy at Duquesne University. Her current clinical interests include oncology, critical care, and emergency medicine. Dr. Emby hopes to complete a PGY-2 in one of these areas, work as a clinical pharmacist at an academic medical center, and eventually become a professor to help shape the next generation of pharmacy students. Outside of pharmacy, Jacquelyn enjoys traveling, seeing her favorite artists in concert, and exploring new vegetarian restaurants. 


Antonnette Kaguhi

Dr. Antonnette Kaguhi was born in Nairobi, Kenya, spend a few years in Illinois, and grew up in Bakersfield California. She received a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from University of California, Merced and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of California, San FranciscoDr. Kaguhi plans to pursue a PGY-2 in Infectious Diseases and hopes to build a career focused on advancing infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship particularly back home in Kenya. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, road trips, and hiking. She is excited to explore everything that Atlanta has to offer. 


Kameron Hicks (Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership)

Dr. Kameron Hicks is originally from Macon, Georgia. She earned both her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration degrees from Mercer University and is currently a PGY-1 resident in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership. Her clinical interests include emergency medicine and psychiatry, which align with her passion for enhancing patient care and advancing the role of pharmacy within health systems. She aspires to lead hospital pharmacy services while advocating for the continued growth and expansion of the pharmacy profession. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, swimming, and spending time with friends, family, and her two dogs.

Ameera Jamshad

Dr. Ameera Jamshad is from Marietta, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science at Kennesaw State University and her Doctor of Pharmacy at The University of Georgia. She is currently a PGY-1 resident in Specialty Pharmacy. Her current clinical interests include oncology, and ambulatory care. She plans to work as a board-certified pharmacist at a hospital or clinic, and precept for students. Outside of pharmacy, Ameera enjoys travelling, reading, watching K dramas, and cooking

Alexandria Rakestraw

Dr. Alexandria Rakestraw is originally from Villa Rica, GA. She completed her undergraduate curriculum and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Georgia. Her professional interests within ambulatory care include cardiology and oncology. Her career goals include becoming a board-certified clinical specialist to precept students and pursue a career in academia. Outside of pharmacy, Alexandria enjoys cooking, running, and spending time with her friends and family.

EUHM PGY-2 Health System Pharmacy Administration

CC Gooden  

Dr. CC Gooden is originally from Brentwood, Tennessee. She completed her pre-pharmacy coursework and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, along with a certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, from Purdue University. She is currently a PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership resident. Dr. Gooden's long-term goal is to become a director of pharmacy, where she hopes to improve operational efficiency while fostering a collaborative, supportive workplace culture. She is passionate about understanding what motivates people and is dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive work environment. Outside of pharmacy, Dr. Gooden enjoys traveling, reading, and discovering unique restaurants. 

EUH/EUHM PGY-2 Infectious Disease

Jada Guilford

Dr. Jada Guilford is originally from Brooklyn, New York. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Georgia. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Emory University Hospital and has since transitioned into her PGY-2 in Infectious Diseases at Emory University Hospital Midtown with clinical interest in multi-drug resistance. Ultimately, Jada hopes to work as a board-certified infectious diseases clinical specialist at an academic medical center where she will have the opportunity to work on an interdisciplinary team and precept future learners. Outside of pharmacy, Jada enjoys traveling, shopping, and beauty content creation

EUHM PGY-2 Oncology

David Matatov

Dr. David Matatov is from Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Georgia State University and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University College of Pharmacy. He completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Northside Hospital Atlanta. After completing his PGY-2 residency, David aims to become a board-certified oncology clinical specialist and contribute to clinical research. He also hopes to be involved in academia and leadership. In his free time, David loves to spend time with family and friends, play pickleball, and explore new restaurants.  


Maddie Adams

Dr. Maddie Adams is from Naperville, Illinois. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in addition to her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of South Carolina. She completed her PGY1 Acute Care residency at Emory University Hospital Midtown. Dr. Adams hopes to work at an academic medical center as an oncology clinical pharmacy specialist where she can serve as a preceptor for students and residents. Outside of pharmacy, Maddie likes to bake bread (especially sourdough), spend time with her cats Boo and Beppo, go shark teeth and fossil hunting, and go to concerts with her husband  


Thomas Hui

Dr. Thomas Hui was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina, and then completed his PGY-1 Acute Care at SSM Health - St. Mary's in Madison, Wisconsin. He is currently a PGY-2 Oncology Pharmacy resident at Emory University Hospital Midtown/Winship Cancer Institute. His long-terms goals involve working in an academic medical center, where he can be involved in multidisciplinary, patient-centered care models, and influence and precept the next generation of pharmacists. Dr. Hui's current interests involve solid tumors and palliative care, and he is excited for the plethora of rotation experiences offered at Emory to help him explore his unique niches in the oncology realm. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys playing pickleball and volleyball, trying new restaurants around Atlanta, and reading (his favorite book is A Little Life). 


Linh Vuong

Dr. Linh Vuong was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at UT MD Anderson - Houston, Texas. She is currently a PGY-2 Oncology Pharmacy resident at Emory University Hospital Midtown/Winship Cancer Institute. After PGY2 training, Dr. Vuong hopes to work at an NCI-designated cancer center as an oncology clinical pharmacy specialist, where she can serve as a preceptor and mentor for students and residents. In her free time, Linh loves to spend time with her family and friends, plays League of Legends, and explores new restaurants.
