EUH PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice

 

 

Matt Molk, PharmD

Dr. Matt Molk is from Coral Springs, Florida. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at the University of Florida, where he also earned his Pharmacy Degree upon completing pharmacy school in Gainesville. His current professional passions include oncology, solid organ transplant, and ambulatory care. Matt enjoys talking with patients and collaborating with interdisciplinary health professions to improve patient care. In his spare time, Matt enjoys going to the gym and being active outside while enjoying nature. Matt also enjoys spending time and playing games with family and friends. One of his favorite games is Catan.  

 


 

Jada Guilford, PharmD

Dr. Jada Guilford was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Atlanta, GA. She received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Georgia, where she also earned her Doctor of Pharmacy. Her current professional interests include emergency medicine and infectious diseases. She aspires to complete a PGY-2 in one of her areas of interest and aid in the future of pharmacy through precepting and mentoring students. Outside of work, Jada enjoys all things related to fashion and beauty, but also enjoys video games and any sport where she can show off her competitive edge. 

 

 


  

Katie Weller, PharmD

Dr. Katie Weller is originally from Cumming, Georgia. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and went on to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. Her professional interests include internal medicine, psychiatry, and infectious diseases. She looks forward to mentoring future pharmacists, becoming board certified, and exploring which career path she will pursue. In her free time, Dr. Weller enjoys reading, going to the gym, and watching University of Georgia football.

 


 

Shannon Mayberry, PharmD

Dr. Shannon Mayberry is from Houston, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences with departmental honors, followed by her Doctor of Pharmacy from The University of Texas at Austin. Her professional interests include emergency medicine, infectious diseases, and critical care. Dr. Mayberry aspires to advance the profession of pharmacy through policy and advocacy. When not at the hospital, she enjoys walking the BeltLine, reading by the pool, and spending time with friends and family.

 

 


 

Glennessa Hodge, PharmD

Dr. Glennessa Hodge is from Baton Rouge Louisiana, and Georgia raised. She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia. Her current professional interests include internal medicine, ambulatory care, and academia. Dr. Hodge plans to tear down barriers to care through compassionate patient education, facilitating transitions of care, and helping educate other future professionals. During her free time, she enjoys caring for several beautiful plants, cooking, and spending time with loved ones.

 


Mary Grace Johnson, PharmD

Dr. Mary Grace Johnson is from Thomaston, Georgia. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy after completing her pre-pharmacy coursework at the University of Georgia. Her primary professional interest is critical care but also enjoys cardiology and internal medicine. Dr. Johnson is interested in pursuing a PGY2 in critical care. Her goal is to practice as a clinical pharmacy specialist at an academic medical center, contribute to research, and serve as a preceptor to learners. Outside of residency, Mary Grace enjoys cooking, staying active, and spending time with her friends and family.

 

EUH PGY-2 Critical Care

Nina Casanova, PharmD

Dr. Nina Casanova is from New Orleans, LA, where she received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana after completing her pre-pharmacy courses at Louisiana State University. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Emory University Hospital and will continue her training here with a PGY2 in Critical Care. Nina ultimately hopes to work as a board-certified critical care pharmacist in an academic medical center, where she can be involved in precepting and research. Outside of pharmacy, Nina enjoys trying new restaurants, going on outdoor walks, and spending time with her family and friends.   

EUH PGY-2 Internal Medicine

Taylor Merritt, PharmD

Dr. Taylor Merritt is from West Green, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia. Her current professional passions include Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Women’s Health. This year she will complete a PGY2 in Internal Medicine and hopes to become a board-certified clinical specialist. She has a passion for patient education in addition to assisting with educating the next generation of pharmacy students. In her spare time, Taylor loves being with her husband and golden retriever, exploring new restaurants and ice cream shops, spending time with family, and playing pickleball.

EUH PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant

Kaanan Shah, PharmD

Dr. Kaanan Shah is from Houston, Texas. She received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Houston and her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of North Texas Health Science Center College of Pharmacy in Fort Worth, Texas. She completed PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Emory University Hospital and is staying at Emory for her PGY2 in Solid Organ Transplant. She hopes to become a board-certified transplant clinical pharmacist in a large academic medical center. She also hopes to be involved in academia, leadership, and research. Outside of pharmacy, Kaanan loves to read, explore new places, and spend time with family and friends.

Duy Luu, PharmD

 

Dr. Duy Luu grew up in Lilburn, Georgia, where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from PCOM. His current professional interests include clinical nutrition and critical care. He aspires to become a clinical nutrition specialist, participate in medical research, and guide the next generation of pharmacists. In his free time, Duy loves traveling with his family and friends.
