Understanding Medicare

At Emory Healthcare, we know Medicare can be confusing.

Medicare is insurance provided by the federal government, and many types of Medicare plans exist, such as Medicare Advantage, Original Medicare (or Medigap), and plans (often referred to as Part D).

Many insurance companies offer Medicare, and Emory Healthcare accepts a range of Medicare Advantage plans, in addition to Original Medicare.

Deciding which plan will best suit your needs can be tough, whether you’re turning 65 or you’re an existing Medicare recipient whose current plan isn’t working for you anymore.

We partner with MedicareCompareUSA, a licensed health insurance agency and non-government entity, to get you access to no-cost and no-obligation resources that can help you understand and use your Medicare insurance.

Their licensed Medicare insurance agents can help you:

  • Apply for Medicare coverage in a plan of your choice
  • Enroll in a Medicare plan accepted by Emory Healthcare
  • Understand your Medicare benefits and insurance options
  • Additionally, these licensed insurance agents offer Medicare education, including in-person educational seminars and an online Medicare resource center.
