Here are additional details about some of the approved insurance plans listed above:
(a) For Cigna Plans: All of Emory Healthcare participates with most Cigna Health Plans including Cigna + Oscar Open Access plans. However, for the following plans, Cigna LocalPlus, Cigna Connect, and Cigna + Oscar LocalPlus, Emory Healthcare only participates in Behavioral Health services and services provided by EMCF at Grady Hospital and at Grady outpatient clinics.
(b) For Kaiser Permanente Plans: Referral and authorization provisions apply. Contact your primary care provider’s office or the member services phone number printed on the back of your insurance card for more information.
(c) For United Healthcare Narrow Network Plans and Tiered Network Plans: There are select counties where Emory is the Top-Tiered Provider. Please contact your primary care physician’s office or member services phone number located on the back of your insurance card for more information.
(d) For Aetna CVS Plans: Emory Healthcare is only in-network for Georgia members. All non-Georgia members from other states are considered out-of-network. Please note: This plan is scheduled to be discontinued and will no longer be offered by Aetna in 2026.
(e) Emory Healthcare is in active contract discussions with UnitedHealthcare in an effort to maintain in-network health insurance coverage for our facilities in Houston County after August 31. As the negotiations progress, Emory Healthcare will keep impacted patients and the local community informed.
Effective January 1, 2027 — Non-participating Houston County facilities:
- Emory Ambulatory Surgery Center Houston (formerly Houston Ambulatory Surgical Center)
- Houston Healthcare Emergency Medical Service (Ambulance Services)
- Emory Hospital Perry (formerly Houston Healthcare – Perry)
- Emory Hospital Warner Robins (formerly Houston Healthcare – Warner Robins)
All other Emory Healthcare locations will remain participating providers for eligible MA plan types.
