New Health Record System Begins October 1
We can’t wait to improve your experience as a patient with our new system for electronic health records and your new patient portal.
Please keep in mind that our new system is a big change for your Emory Healthcare team. We might be a little slower before we are faster, so we appreciate your patience.
Our new system launches on October 1, 2022.
Emory Healthcare strives to provide exceptional care and service to every patient. Our new system, Epic, will have a positive impact on both our patients and care teams.
All MyChart features and the majority of your health information will be available on October 1, 2022. Until then, please continue using your current Emory Healthcare portal to view your health information and communicate with your care team.
This improvement will mean changes for our patients and care teams.
It takes time to learn and use new technology. This will be true for Emory Healthcare, as you and our care teams begin using the new Epic tools. For you, this includes the MyChart patient portal, which features online scheduling, better billing processes, new telehealth functions, and more. And your care teams will also be going through changes, getting used to new electronic tools and new processes.
There may be some slight delays, but safe and effective patient care is our top priority.
During this transition, we will continue to deliver patient care with the same standards we use today. Patient safety and well-being remain our number one priority. Your care team will continue to have full access to your health information during this change.
We know that during the first weeks of go-live, there may be some slight delays. Your care team will need time to adjust to the new system. If there are any delays, your care team will communicate them to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and for entrusting us with your care. If you have any questions, please speak with any member of your care team during your visit.
