Neurosurgery

Unparalleled Surgical Care for Brain Disorders

Your brain, spinal cord and nerves are vital, intricate and complex. So, when you have a neurological condition that requires surgery, you want experts who deliver excellent outcomes. That’s what sets the neurosurgery team at Emory Healthcare apart.

Each of our neurosurgeons specializes in a specific condition and/or neurosurgery treatment. They’re part of a team that includes specialists in neurological imaging, minimally invasive neurological treatments and neurological critical care. Together with dedicated nurses and other medical staff, our doctors provide care and services not found anywhere else in the Southeast.

Emory offers several dedicated centers and programs with expertise to address your unique needs. We work closely with specialists in these areas:

We also offer the only critical care unit staffed by neurointensivists, doctors who specialize in treating critically ill neurological patients.

Emory Second Opinion Program

When you’re diagnosed with a brain or spine condition, decisions about treatment may be difficult. Our neurosurgery specialists can provide a second opinion to help you make a more informed treatment choice. And you can get it remotely, from the comfort of your home.

To request a second opinion, call 678-853-7546. A coordinator will contact you to answer your questions and walk you through the process. The fee for a remote second opinion is $500. Most insurance plans do not cover this cost.
